a theory’s just a spell
a clever way to tell
how anything ever could be so well
the 1’s and 0’s came and went
their facts and facts and figures spent
while that entropy was siphoning off
it went slow slow slow til ya hurried it up
once thought in death would find more fun
but traded love for cosmic dust
oil and water
ain't what this is
it’s a fire and ice thing
they say that there’s no black holes weren’t any to find
just lonely old stars left deadened inside
their light went far but fell just short
in time their solar souls were lost
while the fire of the universe slowly went out
every time they try to find it, gets crushed in a crowd
that legacy went up in flames
creation lost, but who’s to blame
sleep under sheets
signal to leave
pick up the phone
and call them please
911 911 call them please
it’s a fire that you wouldn’t believe
in search of all the wrong things
in lieu of who would start it

Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. the evolution of citizen is almost identical to the typical depiction of human evolution. As you please strays from the previous releases while containing raw emotion. ghøstbødy

A friend with a reliably fine musical taste posted this album on FB and I wasn't disappointed. Love the guitar sound and the passionate vocals (melodic enough to not pass as screamo or whatever). Punk rock spirit yet with a lot of dynamics (definitely a yes to the Dischord reference) and compact songs that won't leave your head for a long time. Many many
great tunes on here but for the moment USMA and Lay Low have to be my favorites! Great band, very happy to have found them! perpendikel
The aptly-named Floating in Space write songs as big as the night sky, misty layers of synth dotted with rolling, elegiac piano. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 17, 2016
From L.A. comes the latest from post-rock outfit bondo, with tendrils of spindly guitar snaking through arid percussion. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 4, 2023
