i’m losing everything
not one, but all of them
it made its move so quick
i’m over and i’m done with it
there’s nothing left to fight
it’s all devoid of light
it left in haste to find the dark
exits with these brief remarks
“it’s gone
the thing you love is gone
everything’s been wrong
now all that’s left is love and love and death and death”
so take it on my best advice
there’ll be more stones to throw
at western trestles growing rust
the chase is all they’d known
i promised you i’d draw the sun
to vanish all this dark
but i could never draw no good
the suns all but forgot
it’s gone
the thing you love is gone
everything’s been wrong
now all that’s left is love and love and death and death
a little fire
before the end
Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. RIP, Phil PaintedDogs
the evolution of citizen is almost identical to the typical depiction of human evolution. As you please strays from the previous releases while containing raw emotion. ghøstbødy
A friend with a reliably fine musical taste posted this album on FB and I wasn't disappointed. Love the guitar sound and the passionate vocals (melodic enough to not pass as screamo or whatever). Punk rock spirit yet with a lot of dynamics (definitely a yes to the Dischord reference) and compact songs that won't leave your head for a long time. Many many
great tunes on here but for the moment USMA and Lay Low have to be my favorites! Great band, very happy to have found them! perpendikel
The aptly-named Floating in Space write songs as big as the night sky, misty layers of synth dotted with rolling, elegiac piano. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 17, 2016
From L.A. comes the latest from post-rock outfit bondo, with tendrils of spindly guitar snaking through arid percussion. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 4, 2023
