seeing’s not believing it’s a matter of trust
knowing’s not a thing that you ever give up
pretending revelations aren’t what they are
but it’s too late it’s gone too far
seeing other people that you know aren’t there
believing in ghosts, in other haunted fare
seeing all the things that you never should see
but it’s too late it’ll always be
present tenses other senses
it’s a matter trusting some reflection
but you don’t know
or know it all
you know, you know?
ticking and ticking
counting it down
climbing and climbing
drowning it out
and i know - it haunts you
cause i saw a mirror and i saw it break through
there’s a reflection you intend to greet
but it’s not the one that i see
and i know - it haunts you
i saw a mirror and i saw it break through
we need less mirrors and more windows
i told you so…
and i know - it haunts you
but it sleeps sleeps sleeps when you will it to
ticking - and ticking - counting it down
you gotta climb climb climb - find your way out
and i know - it haunts you
cause you bend bend break when it wills you to
ticking - and ticking - counting it down
you gotta climb climb climb - find your way out
and i know.. it haunts you..
mirrors… mirrors fading out..
Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. RIP, Phil PaintedDogs
the evolution of citizen is almost identical to the typical depiction of human evolution. As you please strays from the previous releases while containing raw emotion. ghøstbødy
A friend with a reliably fine musical taste posted this album on FB and I wasn't disappointed. Love the guitar sound and the passionate vocals (melodic enough to not pass as screamo or whatever). Punk rock spirit yet with a lot of dynamics (definitely a yes to the Dischord reference) and compact songs that won't leave your head for a long time. Many many
great tunes on here but for the moment USMA and Lay Low have to be my favorites! Great band, very happy to have found them! perpendikel
The aptly-named Floating in Space write songs as big as the night sky, misty layers of synth dotted with rolling, elegiac piano. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 17, 2016
From L.A. comes the latest from post-rock outfit bondo, with tendrils of spindly guitar snaking through arid percussion. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 4, 2023
