i’m not ready
but it’s not letting up
pressure building
doesn’t seem to stop
we’ve been hearing
that same familiar tune
hope that it stops ringing
that it stops soon
she’s been sleeping
a long time in that bed
it’s getting harder and harder just to rest her head
or raise it up
or make a change
bit by bit
we seem to get set in these ways
byte by byte...
climbing...
frequency...
lost again
a fast and fervent pinnacle vs all that that we give up
is it truly beautiful or just a pretty crutch
a hymn of everything and nothing all at once
though sometimes it seems a savior it’s akin to martyr’s love
we’ve been singing all the same old songs
love and hate and everything that’s gone wrong
it sinks in kinda slow
it’s the devil that you know

Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. RIP, Phil PaintedDogs

the evolution of citizen is almost identical to the typical depiction of human evolution. As you please strays from the previous releases while containing raw emotion. ghøstbødy

A friend with a reliably fine musical taste posted this album on FB and I wasn't disappointed. Love the guitar sound and the passionate vocals (melodic enough to not pass as screamo or whatever). Punk rock spirit yet with a lot of dynamics (definitely a yes to the Dischord reference) and compact songs that won't leave your head for a long time. Many many
great tunes on here but for the moment USMA and Lay Low have to be my favorites! Great band, very happy to have found them! perpendikel
The aptly-named Floating in Space write songs as big as the night sky, misty layers of synth dotted with rolling, elegiac piano. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 17, 2016
From L.A. comes the latest from post-rock outfit bondo, with tendrils of spindly guitar snaking through arid percussion. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 4, 2023
